Understanding Cashew Grades: W320, W240 and Beyond

Cashew grades describe kernel size and quality. Learn what W320, W240 and similar codes mean when comparing products.

Cashew grades can look confusing at first, but they simply describe how many kernels fit in a standard weight and how whole they are.

1. What the W means

The letter W stands for white wholes — whole kernels without broken pieces. The number indicates size: W320 means roughly 320 kernels per pound, W240 means larger kernels with fewer per pound.

2. Why size affects experience

Larger grades like W240 feel more premium in the hand and on a cheese board. Smaller grades can still taste excellent but suit mixing, baking or cooking where appearance matters less.

3. VietnamPrime selection

We prioritise whole, visually consistent kernels that meet first-class expectations — not broken fragments sold as premium snacks.
