Portuguese Macadamia Custard Tarts

Pastéis de nata reinvented with a velvety macadamia cream filling under a caramelized top.

Ingredients

  • 6 puff-pastry shells
  • 1/2 cup macadamia paste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Preparation

  1. Whisk milk, yolks, sugar, and macadamia paste.
  2. Fill shells and bake at 220 °C for 12 min.
  3. Cool before serving.
