Not every workout needs a gel or bar. For many people, a small portion of nuts before or after exercise is enough to bridge hunger without heavy processing.
1. Before moderate activity
A few cashews 30–60 minutes before a walk, yoga session or gym visit can provide steady energy without feeling heavy.
2. After training
Pair nuts with a source of protein or carbohydrates — for example cashews with a banana or macadamias with cottage cheese — to support recovery as part of a balanced meal.
